Ben Hogan, who was a Ft. Worth native, won the 1st in 1946 then 4 more. A 7’ Bronze statue of him is in the courtyard of Colonial GC.

LONGSHOTS. Smally led all 3 RDs at PGA, but couldn’t match Rai’s last 10 holes.
12 Alex Smalley 40/1 He was my #1 longshot last year at 80/1 and lost PGA to Rai this year.
4 R Fowler 24/1 Three Top 10’S before he had to many bogies and DB’s, finished 60th at PGA.
5 B Griffin 25/1 Trying to repeat, twice by Ben Hogan 1946&47, 1952&53. Won’t happen.

last 3 to force a playoff which he wins with 4th straight birdie on 1st playoff hole. $1.7M
2 Eric Cole-12 70 Birdies 1st 2 holes, bogies #4 &DB on #9 then only 1 birdie. $1.1M
3 Ben Griffin-11 65 Low RD of day, only bogie on #11 cost him playoff opportunity. $525K
3 Alex Smalley-11 68 Starts with bogie on #2 but makes a run with birdies on 11,12&18. $525K
