COMMENTARY. Are the signature events still relevant? Next week is another and Scotty Scheffler and a few others will skip in preparation for the PGA Championship. Part off next years plan is to add 8 more. That means 16 signature events 4 majors, the Players and 3 Tour Champion events=24. I say eliminate all signature events, spend the $ on other events and you will still have enough top names to make every event relevant. Most top players are comfortable with 20 to 25 events, and Rory and a few other Europeans prefer to play in 4 or 5 DP World tour events. Again eliminate all signature events!
