HISTORY

This is the first PGA tournament of the 2025 regular season which will end with the FedX Tour Championship consisting of 3 tournaments concluding on August 24th at East Lake GC in Atlanta GA.  It will be followed by a Fall season which has not yet been finalized.

This years field of 60 will not include Scottie Scheffler due to injury or Rory McIlroy who has skipped this event for several years.

FAVORITES Scottie Scheffler last years favorite at 6/1 but will be out due to a hand injury.

Xander Schauffele 5/1 Great 2024 #2 in world but has not played great here.

Colin Morikawa 10/1 Blew a 6 stroke lead in 2023 but could win.

Justin Thomas 10/1 Played well at ZOZO in Fall, but maybe game still not there yet.

Hideli Matsuyama 18/1 He has battled back issues and I doubt if he can win.

SJ Im 18/1 Can’t see him so high, was 1-4 in President Cup, no wins 2024.

Ludvig Aberg 18/1 I picked him last year but he finished 47th.

MY WINNER Ludvig Aberg had a bad tournament last year  but the way he drives the ball and his accuracy with the wide fairways, he has the best chance to win.  

MY LONG-SHOT Max Greyserman 45/1 Came close to getting his 1st win last year. 

OTHER LONG-SHOTS

Sahith Theegala 30/1 Last years tied for lead thru 16, but Kirk made a great shot on 17 to win.

Ben An 35/1 Finished 4th last year and always seems to have a chance to win.

Cameron Young 45/1 Rookie of year in 2023 but has yet to win.  He should get his 1st this year.

Max Homa 65/1 Picked in the top 5 last year but had a bad 2024, a win would be a good start. 

Billy Horschel  75/1 Played well thru FedX last year and on DP Tour in Fall.

Austin Eckroat 80/1 Big LS but won Cognizant & WW Technology in Fall last year.

If it is not Aberg or Greyserman, out of the field of 60, one of the above 11 should win.

SPECIAL INFORMATION

Scottie Scheffler finished +4 last year, poor putting which plagued him until winning at Bay Hill.

Jordan Spieth did not qualify even though he finished 3rd last year. 

Sentry commissioned Makai Glass to design this 35LB handmade trophy.  Features a breaking wave and tail of a humpback whale shaped like quote marks, which is their new logo.
