ROUND 1 Perfect 82* wind 5 to 9 MPH picked up in PM. Rough very difficult.

*1 Daniel Berger(80/1)-9 63 Good start 3 birdies 4 thru 7, better back 9, 6 birdies. *2 Collin Morikawa-6 66 My pick 1 of 3 to win, 3 bogies 1st 13 holes-4 last 3, great putting.

*2 Ludvig Åberg-6 66 Four birdies front 9, recovers from bogies on 10&11 with an eagle on 12 then birdies 16&18, maybe his game is back.

4 Jhonattan Vegas(750/1) 2nd to last picked to win, Two bogies 7 birdies.

*4 Cameron Young-5 67 Placed 7th at Genesis, could be dangerous.

6 Xander Schauffele-4 68 Bogie free, his game is coming around.

6 Adam Scott-4 68 Two bogies 4 birdies placed 4th at Genesis 4th.

9 Billy Horschel-3 69 Nice to see him in contention bogie free 3 birdies.

9 Min Woo9 Bogie free RD ends with birdies on #16&17.

*18 Sahith Theegala-2 70 Good start 4 birdies, and he has been playing well.

18 Scottie Scheffler-2 70 Starts with birdie then 3 bogies 2 birdies, again not his type of RD.

18 Akshay Bhatia-2 70 Bogies 2 of 1st 4 holes then 4 birdies next 12.

18 Russell Henley-2 70 Two bogies on front 9 but bogie free back with 3 birdies.

33 Sepp Streka E 72 A DB on #11 but birdies 17&18.

33 Rory McIlroy E 72 Good bogie free back 9 with 3 birdies.

Jordan Spieth- E 72 Again too many bogies 3 to go with 3 birdies.

I think 1 of these 5 will win, and my picks are;

#1 Aberg, if can stay away from DB’s.

#2 Morikawa if he can continue to putt like he did in his win at Pebble Beech.

#3 Berger has a big lead but I think he will fade.

#4&5 Theegala or Young have a chance but they are my long-shots.
