HISTORY
Started as the Memphis Open in 1956. In 1969 famous entertainer Danny Thomas agreed to add his name to help fund St Jude Hospital for Children opened Feb 4,1962. In 1986 FedX took over sponsorship and increased the purse by $454K(47%) in 4 years. It is now the 1st event in the Tour Championship with a field of 69 as Rory McIlroy decided to skip this one.
FAVORITES
Matsuyama led after 3 & won last year. Scottie finished 4th with 3 bogies in RD3.
1 Scottie Scheffler 3/1 Favored every tournament but can’t win all and not this one.
2 Xander Schauffele 16/1 Second 2024, but early injury has really effected his game.
3 Justin Thomas 22/1 Has been playing very well, if he stays away from DBs could win.
4 T Fleetwood 25/1 Also playing well, just can’t win, finished 3rd in 2023.
5 Ludvig Aberg 28/1 His game is just not there, a few DB’s every tournament.
6 Viktor Hovland 30/1 Has not found his game yet despite some great moments.

6 Russell Henley 30/1 First out of this group who could win, maybe Thomas too.
7 Matt Fitzpatrick 33/1 Picked him to win the Wyndham and he played well, bad start!

8 Ben Griffin 40/1 Top 15 in 7 of last 9 tournaments, won Schwab #2 next week at Memorial.
9 Hideka Matsuyama 45/1 Unpredictable but when he’s hot, 62&65 last 2 RDs to win Sentry.

16 Harris English 45/1 Won Farmers at Torrey Pines in Feb, #2 at PGA, #2 at OPEN.
LONGSHOTS
12 Cameron Young 35/1 If he plays like he did for 4 RDs last week he wins.
61 Chris Kirk Was out last week #73, but moved to #61 with 4 sub par RDs #5 finish.
20 Chris Gotterup 50/1 Top 25 in last 6 tournaments top 10 last 3, he is hot!
5 Ludvig Aberg 28/1 If he plays as he did at Genesis win (birdies 4 of last 6 holes?
26 Robert MacIntyre 50/1 The Players #9 US Open #2, OPEN #7, plays well on big stage.
