1 Scottie Scheffler-8 62 Only bogie on 17, misses shooting 59. FINISH 6-12

2 Austin Eckroat-8 62 His lowest RD ever, 30 on back 9, 1 eagle. FINISH 57-3

3 Rory McIlroy-6 64 Bogie free, good start to prepare for The OPEN. FINISH 6-12

3 Wyndham Clark-6 64 One bogie, birdies 4 of last 6 holes. FINISH 17-6

3 Keegan Bradley-6 64 One bogie 7 birdies, won 2 years ago. FINISH WINS

7 Viktor Hovland-4 Five birdies 1st 12 holes then bogie and all pars. FINISH WD?

7 Davis Riley-4 66 First alternate, birdies 1st 3 holes, 2 more, 1 bogie. FINISH 57-3

7 Jason Day-4 66 Par for front 9 then 4 straight birdies 13,14,15,16. FINISH 4-13

7 Max Greyserman-4 66 One bogie, 5 birdies, one of my long shots. FINISH 36-2

7 Tommy Fleetwood-4 66 Bogie free another top 20 or can he win? FINISH 2-14

15 Justin Thomas-3 67 One bogie 4 birdies. FINISH 9-3

15Sam Burns-3 67 Three straight birdies 12,13,14, not last 2 weeks. FINISH 17-6

36 Denny McCarthy-1 69 Bogies 1st then 2 more with 4 birdies. FINISH 12-8

51 Ludvig Aberg+1 71 Again too many bogies (4) he’s in a real slump. FINISH 36-2

51 Robert MacIntyre+1 71 DB on 17, I thought he would play better. FINISH 17-6

60 Shane Lowry+2 Five bogies, hope he can get it right before OPEN. FINISH 45 E

60 Adam Scott+2 Four bogies, great 1st 3 RDs at USO, but then? FINISH 30-4

W Jordan Spieth withdrew on the 12th hole with neck & back issues. WD WD

ROUND 2 Wind much stronger 11-35MPH scores higher. Last year-22 won.

1 S. Scheffler-9 69 Up 11 thru 14, but DBs #17(bogie yesterday) & shares the lead.

1 J.Thomas-9 64 Five straight birdies 11 to 15 to move up 14 spots.

1 T. Fleetwood-9 65 Two eagles on 13&15. It would be nice to see him get 1st win.

4 J. Day-8 66 Three bogies front 9, 4 birdies last 7 holes, can he do it for 4 RDs?

5 A. Eckroat-7 71 Birdies 2nd but DB on 8, RD 3 will be very important for him.

7 K. Bradley-7 70 Too many bogies (4).

9 R. McIlroy-5 71 Bad start 4 bogies 1st 7 holes after none in RD1

ROUND 3 Less wind than yesterday. If not for #17 Scheffler would be-12 after RD2.

1 T. Fleetwood-16 63 Takes lead with birdie on #3, bogie freeRD, 1 eagle 5 birdies.

2 R. Henley-13 61 After 2RDs of 68 has bogie free RD with 9 birdies.

2 K. Bradley-1 63 Bogie free with 7 birdies, since Ryder Cup Captain, playing great.

4 J. Day-11 67 Three RDs under par, hope he can get a 4th.

8 R. McIlroy-7 Just can’t seem to put a great RD together, 1 DB&1 bogie today.

8 S. Scheffler-7 72 DB on #1 another on #8, but still shoots+2.

14 J. Thomas-6 Like Scottie played himself out of it with 4XB 9 on the par5 #13.

14 A. Ectroat+1 71 Second day 71, can’t play with big guys yet, bogies 18.

FINAL RD Winner will be from top 4, hope it’s Fleetwood but watch out for Henley.

1 K. Bradley-15 Great clutch putts on 13,15&18, will he play in Ryder Cup$3.6M

2 T. Fleetwood-14 More bad spots in last 4 holes than the tournament. $1.8M

3 R Henley-14 I thought he would catch Fleetwood and almost did. $1.8M

4 Harris English-13 Never a threat to win, but came out of nowhere. $880K

4 J. Day-13 Probably his best tournament in years, but can he win again?$880K

6 R McIlroy & S. Scheffler-12. Scheffler had 2 DBs, 1 3XB & Mcllroy 1 DB.

Only tournaments that matter now THE OPEN & tour championship. $695K

COMMENTARY I hate to use the word “choker” when it comes to athletes. The pressure of winning is so difficult that some can succeed with clutch performances and some cannot. This separates the superstars from the excellent. Tommy Fleetwood is not a superstar, but a very good player who should win a PGA event soon, maybe this fall. He should have won this tournament.
