1 S Scheffler-8 68 Pars 1st 13 holes then birdies 4 on last 5 for lead. No bogies.

2 B Griffin-7 72 Started well with birdies 6,7,8 to go -10 then 5 bogies next 10 holes.

3 N Taylor-5 74 Starts with 2 bogies then DB on 12 to go from lead-7 to -3.

4 S Straka-3 66 Low RD of the day, up 27 spots, bogie free 4 birdies back 9.

4 K Bradley-3 68 After a 76 in the rain, birdies 4 of last 5 holes.

4 J Spieth-3 72 Six bogies killed him, especially 17&18 to drop him from #3.

7 R Fowler-2 69 Up 11 spots after par and, +1RDs 1&2.

7 P Cantlay-2 69 One DB, but strong finish 3 birdies last 5 holes.

7 S Lowry-2 73 Too many bogies 7 in 3 RDs, 3 on this one, but finishes with 2 birdies.

23 Akshey Bhatia+3 80 After 2 good RDs drops 20 spots with 2 DBs, 5 bogies, 0 birdies

26 Justin Thomas+4 71 Two sub par RDs after 80 RD1

43 Ludvig Aberg+7 77 Thought he would break out of slump but, another poor showing

43 Max Greyserman+7 75 Only 1 RD under par, in 17 tournaments only 1 top 10 AmXp.

43 Nick Dunlap+7 Bad 2nd season, 10 bogies 2 DBs, 2 wins last year 0 this year.

51 Harry Higgs+8 77 Shot par RD1 and I was hoping for a top 10.

FINAL ROUND Clear 57* W 2-6 MPH

This is now a 3 horse race but I think Scheffler will win by 2 to 4 shots. Taylor will take a run and finish 2nd, Griffin fell apart on last 10 holes despite 2 birdies. After a great pitch from the rough misses a 3’ putt on 18 for 5th bogie. He is playing great golf and won last week but was 6 strokes ahead of Scheffler thru 8 and then lost the lead.

1 S Scheffler-10 70 I told you so, this guy is the new Tiger Woods, Jack Nicklaus! $4M

2 B Griffin-6 Starts with a bogie but hung in the until bogies on 12 & 13. Makes

a strong comeback with eagle on 15, birdie on 16 to get within 2, but Scheffler

does what he has to do, Griffin DBs 17 and its over. $2.2M

3 S Straka-5 70 Birdies 1st 2 holes then shoots par to overtake Taylor for 3rd. $1.4M

4 Nick Taylor-4 73 Not his day with 3 bogies and a DB on 14. $1.0M

COMMENTARY

Course played very tough especially after cold rainy conditions RD2. Only 11 of 50 players broke par and the 22 cut were +6 or more for 2 RDs. Scheffler was the only player under par all 4RDs.

Other Players deserving of recognition!

7 R Fowler-2 73 Last week was #3 after 3RDs, finished 16, playing better. $603K

7 K Bradley-1 74 With his play will probably play in Ryder Cup. BIG MISTAKE! $630K

7 J Spieth-1 74 Will continue to contend and may win again but not a major. $603K

7 B Snedeker-1 65 Nice to see him in the top10 if not for bogie on 12, 3rd place $603K

16 L Aberg+1 66 A bogie free RD, like he should have more often, up 27 spots. $319K

20 C Morikawa+2 Still considered to be one of the elite players. He is not! $250K

23 S Lowry+3 77 Bad final RD but watch out for him at Portsmouth. $208K

25 X Schauffele+4 76 May want to take a few tournaments off and get healthy. $159K

31 J Thomas+5 Other than RD2, not himself, maybe no more majors. $115K

51 H Higgs+11 Still a very likable player, wish he had made top 10. $49K

56 W Clark+13 75 Only 1 RD under par, not the player who won 2023 US Open. $45K
