May 22-25, 2025 Purse $9.5M+400K4%
Colonial GC Ft Worth TX. Par 70
HISTORY
Ben Hogan who was a Ft. Worth native won the 1st in 1946 then 4 more. There is a 7’ Bronze statue of him in the courtyard of Colonial GC. The winner receives $1.7M, a plaid blazer and a restored 1992 Defender. Last years winner was Davis Reilly who won by 5 strokes and almost went wire to wire. He was 2nd after RD1 trailing Charlie Hoffman by 1 stroke. Based on last week he was the 2nd best player and finished tied for 2nd despite a triple bogie on #17, at 55/1 maybe a good bet. Last years tournament was marred by the death of 30 yearly Grayson Murray who withdrew towards the end of RD 3 and went back to his room to take his own life.
FAVORITES
1 Scottie Scheffler 2.5/1 Lives in the area and just may win again.
2 Jordan Spieth 20/1 After last week missed cut with 7 bogies on 1stRD 76?
3 H. Matsuyama 25/1 He can’t put 4 RDs together, little chance to win.

5 Tommy Fleetwood 25/1 Probably in the top 10 but when will he get that 1st win?

VERY/VERY LONG-SHOTS. Don’t think any of these players will win, winner should come from favorites, but it would be nice to see one of these guys pull an upset.

Max Greyserman 80/1 Picked him to win in some smaller events but not yet.
Jake Knapp 80/1 Another good, pick who won last year and a few good RDs this year.

Blades Brown 150/1 17 Sponsors X, turns 18 in May for opportunity for a PGA card.

Karl Vilips 20/1 Famous for 1st to wear xTiger’s Sun Day Red logo, won in Puerto Rico.
Harry Higgs 450/1 Lost in a payoff to Ryan Fox at Myrtle Beach, maybe top 10.
Michael Block 1000/1 Teaching Pro who finished 15th at PGA Championship in 2023.
Peter Malnati 1000/1 No chance to win but he gave a great interview last year on the tragic death of Grayson Murray whom he played with on that Grayson’s final RD3. If they feature him, pay attention.
