TPC Craig Ranch McKinney TX May 1-4, 2025 Par 72 Purse $9.9M+$400K=4%

HISTORY This is a good tournament and one I would love to attend. The hospitality Suites are 2nd to none and priced for anyone that wants to make it a special event. They are just as affordable as a Broadway show and definitely the Ryder CUP which the PGA is charging $750 per day. Tournament bears the name of Byron Nelson who retired early to settle on his farm in Ft. Worth TX.

FAVORITES One of the largest fields on tour 156. I can’t see betting on the winner, as Scottie Scheffler should win at 2.4/1. It is near home, he has been playing well and he is due for his first 2025 win. Some of the lesser known names who played last week could sneak in.

1 Scottie Scheffler 2.5/1 He has got to be upset with Rory’s start, I think he goes wire to wire.

2 Jordan Spieth 18/1 A good #2 but I don’t think his game is there yet, to any bogies and DB’s.

2 SJ Im 118/1 Finished 5th at Masters but nobody noticed, this year 3 top 10’s #15 FedX.

4 Stephen Jaeger 28/1 Only win Houston Open 2024 defeating Scheffler, this year 2 top 10’s.

4 Taylor Pendrith 28/1 Won last year on 18th hole when Ben Kohler bogied and he birdied.

4 Si Woo Kim 28/1 Lost to Jason Day in 2023 by 1 stroke when Day birdied 18 to win.

7 Keith Mitchell 40/1 Led after 1st RD Valspar, Houston Open, 2nd at Valero, faded in all 3.

8 Ben Griffin 50/1 Played well in RD4 last week for 1st win with Andrew Novak.

8 Rasmus Hojgaard 50/1 A slightly better player than brother Nicklas, good bet to win.

8 Seamus Power 50/1 Has 2 PGA wins in secondary tournaments, can’t see him this high.

8 Will Zalatorius 50/1 At Players he shot 81 in RD3, I think his back injury is still affecting him.

LONG SHOTS

1 Nicolai Hojgaard 66/1 I thought he and his brother were going to win last week.

1 Jake Knapp 66/1 He had good week last week playing with an unknown.

Led after RD2 last year and 2nd after RD3, but too many bogies RD4 to finish 8th.

3 Sam Burns 30/1 While still #56th FedX this has been a disappointing year, 1 top 10.

4 Tom Kim 60/1 Has done nothing this year, just made cut at masters and finished #52 last.

5 Nicklas Norgaard 90/1 Has come out of nowhere, 4 of 9 cuts this year, led PR Open RD2.

Alejandro Tosti 90/1 Led after RD1 Houston Open, finished 5th.

Sami Valimaki 110/1 OWGR#108 FedX 70. Since 2020 8 wins in Europe.

Harry Higgs 70/1 No chance to win hope he can get a top 25.

Salinda Isaiah 70/1 Made 7 of 10 cuts this year, 3rd at Mexico Open, team tied 4th last week.

Peter Malnati 1000/1 Has no chance, I just like this guy, hopefully makes cut.

Picture is #17 Par 3 Stadium Hole “Ranch17 Boxes on the 17th green” starting at $500 per person. There are also the Nelson Boxes on 18 price at $160,000 for the week and The Choctaw Club priced from $6,000 to $7,500 for full week. Not quite as rowdy as W/M #16.
