Harbor Town Golf Links

Hilton Head SC

April 17-20, 2025

Purse $20M Par 71

HISTORY Last years winner, Scottie Scheffler, went from #26 to 10 to 1 in the 1st 4 RDs and won by 3 with a bogie free 68 on the final RD. Wyndham Clark finished 3rd and may be a good bet at 55/1. The tournament started in 1963, won by Arnold Palmer. Harbor Town is a public course and features a picturesque light house behind the 18th green. However this view is no longer visible due to the tournaments decision to put a large grand stand building between it and the 18th green. Below the scene without building blocking lighthouse.

MY FAVORITES Scottie Scheffler is the odds on favorite at 3.5/1 and will probably win.

However with most golfers having Masters hangover I think the winner will be someone other than the oddsmakers top 10 listed below.

1 Scottie Scheffler 3.5/1 Stared #2 on 1st RD last week and finished 4th he is ready to win.

2 Coli Morikawa 11/1 He had an average Masters and I can’t see him winning.

3 Xander Schauffele 11/1 His game is getting better but can’t put 4 good RDs together.

4 Ludvig Aberg 12/1 Came close last week, if he can stay away from bad holes could win.

5 Justin Thomas 18/1 Has been so up & down for past 2 years but if he is on could win.

6 Patrick Cantlay 22/1 Always picked in top 10 and sometime makes it but no wins in 2 years.

7 Corey Conners 22/1 Another good showing at Masters(8), has to improve putting.

8 Shane Lowry 28/1 Terrible final RD last week (81) 2DBs & 7 bogies but still could sneak in.

9 Russell Henley 30/1 He was #90+7 after RD 1 at Masters and missed cut, no way he wins

10 Viktor Hovland 30/1 Not a great week last week (21) but if his game is back who knows.

MY LONG-SHOTS I am picking Jason Day to win.

1 Jason Day 40/1 Good Masters #8 with 4 RDs par or under, bogie free for 1st 35 holes.

2 Wyndham Clark 55/1 Finished 3rd last year and when he is hot he could win.

3 SJ Im 45/1 At Masters #5 4 sub par RDs and often in top 10 but can’t win, maybe now.

4 JT Poston 75/1 Led 1st 2 RDs and finished 5th last year.

5 Daniel Berger 50/1 Has played pretty well this year, but a real long shot.
