HISTORY
Last years winner, Peter Mallet got his 1st win in 9 years to retain his PGA Card.
One of the good guys in golf but this year his odds are +50/1. Another so/so field
as many players get ready for the Masters and RBC Heritage in 3 weeks.
FAVORITES New wrinkle best odds-my pick.
Corry Conners 25/1 #1 Started 47 after 1st RD and made a run last week.
Michael Kim 28/1 #2 Finished #2 at W/M #4 at API this year, may get 1st win.
Tommy Fleetwood 16/1 #3 Seems to always be in top 10 but can’t win.
Justin Thomas 12/1 #4 He is picked # 1 by oddsmakers but for me he has
not been able to put together 4 good RDs. Last year +3 RD4 #
Shane Lowry 16/1 #5 Like Thomas if he can put together 4 good RDs he could win,
Lucas Glover 45/1 #6 If he plays like he did on the final 9 holes last weeks he wins.
MY WINNER Hard to pick 1 so I will go with Corry Conners or Justin Thomas.
MY LONG-SHOTS if an unlikely player does not win, possibly one of these.
Will Zalatoris 28/1 Was in the hunt last week until last 5 holes.
Alex Smally40/1 Also faded on back 9 at Players but in it for the 1st three RDs.
Jake Knapp+50/1 Led Cognizant after1st&3RDs, finished 6th with+1 on final RD.
Aldrich Potgieter+50/1 Rookie is longest driver on tour, led Mexico Open RDs2&3.
Sahith Theegala+50/1 Has really been off his game, but if he can avoid bogies?
Harry Higgs?200/1 Probably has no chance to win but always on my list.
Blades Brown?200/1 Also no chance, turned pro at 17 has sponsors exemption.
Like Amen Corner and The Bear Trap The Snake pit may determine the winner in RD4.
#16 Par4 475 yds Narrow fairway with water on right trees on left and elevated green.
#17 Par3 215 “ Largest green on the course and protected by bunkers.
#18 Par4 445 “ 6 bunkers on right of fairway, 2 on left and 2 near hole.
