COMMENTARY

Scheffler and McIlroy looked like they would make a move on Sat or Sun, but fell short.  After RD 3 it looked like Rogers may get his long awaited 1st PGA championship or McCarthy would get his first signature win, but both faltered in RD4.  In RD4 McNealy probably had his best opening 13 holes ever with 9 birdies but Alberg’s outstanding finish ruined his low RD of the day. Finau, Cantlay, and Fleetwood all shot final RDs of 68 for a top 5 finish. The next 2 tournaments, Mexico Open & Cognizant (formally Honda Classic) will have weaker fields, but watch out for all of the above at the next signature event The Arnold Palmer March 6-9, where Scheffler started his 7 tourney win streak last year.
