There are 156 players in the field but only 18 are in the OGWR top 50.

MY WINNER

Aberg, picked him to win the Sentry, finished strong 5th.

MY LONG SHOT

At the Sentry Eckroat 80/1 Rai 90/1 Both finished 15th 

Jaeger at 100/1 finished 36th .  If it’s someone other than the top 10 

Who wins, I have a hunch it will be 1 of these 3.  

SPECIAL INFORMATION “Why is there less interest in professional golf.”

Like most major sports the PGA season is too long and runs from Jan to Aug, then Sept to Nov.  Most of the top players play in only a few if any fall events.  Xander Schauffele and Colin Morikawa were supposed to play in The Farmers but withdrew.  McIlroy usually plays in DP World Tour until Pebble Beach, Jordan Spieth and Scottie Scheffler are recovering from medical issues, so this tournament like the previous 3 have limited star power.  In effect the only strong tournament field is the Sentry which is the first Signature event.  Pebble Beach is the 2nd followed by WM in Phoenix then the 3rd signature, The Genesis.  So the real season runs from Feb 2 Pebble Beach thru Aug 18 Tour Championship (31 tournaments which about 20 are relevant)
