ROUND 2 Weather much better than RD1, less wind firmer fairways, only 2 players+par.

3 C Conners-14 66 Finishes -5 on last 4 holes with eagle on 15.

3 T Hoge-14 68 Bogie free RD with 5 birdies but still falls from #1.

3 T Detry-14 65 Bogie free with 1 eagle 6 birdies.

4 SJ Im-21 62 Same as Morikawa and moves up 9 spots.

5 H Hall-20 67 Starts with bogie then 1 eagle 6 birdies. 

6 M Greyserman-19 Great RD but may be too late for my long-shot to win.

FINAL ROUND Looks like a match play for Matsuyama & Morikawa.

2 C Morikawa-32 67 A bridesmaid again 1 bogie 7 birdies. $2.2M

3 SJ Im-29 Bogie No bogies 1 eagle 17 birdie last 3 RDs, strong tournament. $1.4M

5 L Aberg-24 Bogie reel with 2 eagles 5 birdies, not enough to win but watch out. $744K

24 M Grayserman-20 72 Disappointing finish for a guy I thought could win. $196K

30 X Schauffele-17 67 Decent finish bogie free 6 birdies. $138K 

FEEL GOOD STORY Nice to see Matsyama put 4 good RDs together, 3 65’s and a 62.

Won the Genesis last year with bogie free final RD, 9 birdies to win by 3.  He had 3 bogies in the final RD at the Olympics and won the silver medal, 2 strokes behind Scheffler.  If he pars instead of bogies he wins the gold.
