He is the top pick and top ranked player #42 in this 120 player tournament.

1 Tom Whitney-5 67(150/1)  Starts with 3 birdies and birdies 2 of last 3 holes.  Finish 42-10

1 Kevin Streelman-5 67 Starts with an eagle & birdie then 3 birdies on back 9. Finish 24-13

4 Max Greyserman-4 68 Starts with 4 birdies, then par on back 9. Finish 4-22 

4 Erik van Rooyen-4 68 Same RD as Greyserman, 2 birdies, 2 bogies on back. Finish 63-3

4 Austin Eckrout-4 68 Three bogies, 7 birdies, won Cognizant at Palm Springs. Finish WINS

4 Joe Highsmith-4 68 Bogie free RD One of the up and coming young golfers. Finish 5-22

11 Nico Echavaria-3 69 Bogie free RD with 3 birdies. Finish 6-17

25 Matt Kucher-2 70 Birdies 1st 3 holes then finishes with 2 bogies and 1 birdie. Finish 30-12

39 Harry Higgs-1 71 Three birdies 2 bogies, typical Higgs RD. Finish 30-12

ROUND 2 Looks like winner should come from the top 3.  I am hoping Greyserman can win.

Echavarria defeated him by 1 stroke at ZOZO when he could not finish strong again (3 pars).

Carson Young is a sleeper.  Shot a 59 on RD 3 at Travelers this year and #113 in FedX points.   

1 Nico Echavarria-12 63 Bogie free RD with 1 eagle 7 birdies including 18.

1 Max Greyserman-12 64 Two bogies but 8 birdies and eagle on 18 to tie for lead.

3 Carson Young-11 61 One bogie and 11 birdies for low RD of the day after par RD 1.

5 Austin Eckrout-9 67 Only 1 bogie 6 birdies, tied for lead before Nico & Max made a run.  

5 Maverick McNealy-9 66 Bogie free RD with 5 birdies also led before Nico & Max made a run. 

5 Kelly Kraft-9 67 Wild RD with 3 bogies 8 birdies.  Ranked #180 on $ list.

4 Tom Hoge-8  Started on 9 bogies 1st hole then 6 birdies thru 12 holes.

4 Ben Griffin-8 63 Starts with 4 birdies in Bogie free RD, moves up 67 spots.

8 Tom Witney-8 69 Bogie free RD but not good enough drops 7 spots.

35 Erik van Rooyen-5 71 DB on #1 probably puts him out of it.

CUT-2 Missed Cut Keith Mitchell+3.  He was 11th at 28/1, but can’t seem to stay in contention.

ROUND 3

1 Justin Lower-16 63 Bogie free RD 7 birdies 1 eagle on 18 to tie for lead, up 14 spots.

1 Niko Echavarria-16 68 Bogie free RD with 4 birdies.

1 Carson Young-16 Birdies 18 to tie for the lead.

4 Austin Eckroat-15 66 Bogie free RD 6 birdies one on 18.

4 Max Greysreman-15 DB on #4 but comes back making 4 birdies one on 18.

7 Maverick McNealy-14 66 Minus 4 on last 7 holes with eagle on 18.

FINAL RD Austin Eckroat takes over tournament with 1 bogie 6 birdies on front 9, then 5 birdies on back 9 for low RD, but bogies 18 for a 1 stroke win.

1 Austin Eckroat-24 63 Two bogies 11 birdies, bogie on 18 makes it close. $1.3M

2 Justin Lower-23 65 RD enough to win with eagle on 18 but missed too many putts. $641K  

2 Carson Young-23 65 Bogie on 4 and birdies 3 of last 5 holes, not enough to win. $641K 

3 Max Greyserman-22 65 One bogie 8 birdies 2 on last 2 holes but again not enough. $353K

Abu Dhabi Championship 

Paul Waring, 39 year old Englishmen OFWR# 229, wins and moves into position for a PGA card.  He finishes 2 shots better than Terrell Hatton & 3 ahead of Rory McIlroy.
