HISTORY
This is the 4th of the 8 Fall events. Another lower purse indicating the Fall tournaments are being effected financially. Field is pretty much the same as last week and Kim seems to be the best player and could win for the 3rd straight year. He had an up and down year and tarnished his popular reputation with some negative actions and poor play (1-2-1) at the President’s Cup.
FAVORITES These 12 are about even in talent and pretty much on the 2nd tier on the PGA.
One of them should win but as with all of these Fall tournaments including the 1st 3 someone comes out of nowhere to win.
Tom Kim 12/1. Probably the best player in the field but winning 3 in a row is difficult.
Taylor Pendrich 22/1 Don’t know why he is so high, hasn’t played since Presidents Cup 2-3.
Davis Thompson 25/1 Played well late winning John Deere and 2nd at Rocket Mortgage.
Tom Hoge 28/1. Has not played since Tour Championship 0 wins and only 4 top 10s this year.
Kurt Kitayama 30/1 I thought might win last week but finished 25th.
Beau Hossler 30/1 Lost Sanderson in playoff 2 weeks ago, could win.
Seamus Power 33/1 He and the rest are longshots.
Kieth Mitchell 33/1 He was in the hunt at Sanderson but missed cut last week.
Matt McCarty 35/1 Finished 1st in Korn Ferry and won Black Desert for his 2025 PGA card.
Adam Hadwin 35/1 Ranked 37 FedX 0 wins 4 top 10’s in 2024 and finished 2nd last year.
Stephen Jaeger 35/1 finished 2nd last week with 4 RDs under 70, could win.
Eric Cole 35/1. He plays just about every tournament and finished 3rd last year..
MY LONGSHOTS AND FAVORITES
Ryan Fox 60/1 In hunt after 1st RD last week but faded and finished 46th.
Rickie Fowler 70/1 #108 FedX points 0 wins 0 top 10’s, little chance to win.
Daniel Berger 90/1 #140 FedX needs win for 2025 card.
Charlie Hoffman over 100/1 One of the Veterans who won’t win.
Matti Schmidt 50/1 last week strong finish with 62 lowest RD, could sneak in.
