HISTORY
My Prediction One of these 2 based upon last weeks play, Cameron Young or Tom Kim and they seem to be playing the best golf of the field lately. I am leaning towards Young as he has not won and Kim has 3 wins. This tournament has a way of rewarding some struggling golfers or first time winners so anyone could win. Cameron Davis got his first PGA win in 2021, Tony Finau got his 4th PGA win in 2022 and Ricky Fowler got his first win since super bowl Sunday 2019. However I think either Kim or Young will win.
FAVORITES
1 Tom Kim 12/1 I think he may win and should be in the final group with Cam Young.
2 Cameron Young 16/1 Most favor Kim but I think he is ready for his first win.
3 Min Woo Lee 20/1 Rated too high has won on DP and Australia but not on PGA.
4 Akshay Bhatia 22/1 He was in the hunt last week but 2 bogies took him out could sneak in.
5 Stephen Jaeger 25/1
6 Maverick McNealy 28/1 He has had a good year but not enough to win.
7 Alex Noran 28/1 He has been close in several tournaments.
8 Will Zalatoris 30/1 One of the most talented in the field but I think he still has back issues.
9 Taylor Pendrith 30/1 He has a weak resume.
10 Keith Mitchell 30/1 A fan favorite but has not been among the leaders much this year.
I don’t see any of the last 8 having a chance, same goes for longshots below, but someone has to win.
LONGSHOTS
1 Robert MacIntyre 35/1 He and Kirk may be the best longshots.
2 Chris Kirk 55/1 He has not won this year but had a good 2023.
3 Nick Dunlap 75/1 Won the American Express in Jan. as an amateur and then joined the PGA .
4 Jake Knapp 110/1 AT 29 won his first PGA event at the Mexico Open in Feb.
5 Peter Malnati 200/1 Finished last at Travelers but did win $1.5M at Valspar in March.
6 Neal Shipley 200/1 From Ohio State and was low amateur at Masters & US Open turned pro
7 Joel Dahman 200/1 He could do what Fowler did last year.
? N/O Miles Russell A 15 year old from Florida in on a Sponsors exemption.

Detroit GC opened in 1869 and will host the tournament for the 6th time.
It is the flattest course on the tour as pictured.
