1 R McIlroy-5 65 An old time McIlroy RD, bogie free, great drives, approach’s, and putts. 

2 L Aberg-4 66 Great start 6 birdies 2 bogie.

3 M Pavon-3 67 Starts with 2 eagles 1 birdie but then 2 bogies.

4 B DeChambeau-3 67 I want Rory but still think he wins.

4 T Finau-2 68 Four birdies 2 bogies typical Finau RD.

9 S Garcia-1 69 Bogie free RD with 1 birdie. His best RD at a major since joining LIV.

9 T Detry(100/1)-1 69 Six birdies 3 bogies.

16 B Koepka E After leading in front 9 bogies 3 of last 6 holes.

16 C Morikawa E Bogies 4th then 3 birdies & 2 DBs, chip in birdie on 17 & birdie on 18. 

34 C Smith+1 71 Makes 2 long putts on 9 & 18 to stay in contention.

34 S Schefler+1 71 I think he is burnt out for now and but could win the OPEN next month.

3 B DeChambeau-4 69 Up and down RD 5 birdies 4 bogies.

3 T Detry-4 67 Six birdies 2 bogies up 5 spots.

5 T Finau-3 69 Three birdies 2 bogies to stay in contention but I don’t think he can win.

6 R McIlroy-3 72 One birdie 3 bogies but good putting for 1 birdie and several par saves.

16 B Horschel E 67 Two bogies 5 birdies Up 47 spots after 73 on RD1.

37 M Kymer+3 73 Winner in 2014 almost misses cut with 3 bogies on last 5 holes.

37 J Spieth+3 71 Another seesaw RD so typical of  him 4 bogies 3 birdies.

37 C Smith+3 72 A very mediocre  RD with 2 bogies and 16 pars.

51 W Clark+4 71 One DB 4 bogies but 5 birdies to avoid missing cut.

51 K Bradley+4 70 Wild finish with 4 birdies 2 bogies on last 7 holes.

57 M Fitzpatrick+5 Two birdies 4 bogies one one 18 but still made cut.

57 S Theegala+5 68 Five birdies 3 bogies better than RD 1 but not enough.

57 C Morikawa+5 74 One birdie 5 bogies after 2 great final holes on RD 1, drops 41 spots.

131 P Mickelson+15 On DB 13 bogies and 0 birdies in his 2 RDs a total embarrassment!

Important information RDs 1 & 2

Pinehurst 2 again shows its difficulty, as seen by the scores.  Some top players missed the cut or played themselves out of the tournament.  Aberg, DeChambeau & McIlroy played well as expected.  Cantlay played his best 2 rounds of the year.  Detry, Finau and Horschel were the biggest surprises.  The winner should come from of these players.
