HISTORY Tournament started as the Tampa Bay Classic in 2000 and is famous for “The Snake Pit”(see below).  Taylor Moore won last year but is 80/1 this year.  Also last year Justin Thomas was the #1 favorite to win at 10/1, Jordan Spieth was picked #2 at 12/1 and finished 3rd by 2 strokes.  There will be 156 players in the field.

Xander Schauffele 9/1 Should win after his strong performance at The Players.

Justin Thomas 12/1 Missed cut at players due to a couple of balls in the water.

Sam Burns 12/1 Great 16 holes RD3 last week, but then hit a bogie run.  Won here 2 of last 3.

Jorden Spieth 14/1 Missed cut at Players still too many bogies.

Tony Finau 22/1 He seems lost, I don’t see him even in the top 10.

Sungjae Im 25/1  Finished 31 at Players with only 1 RD under 70.

Brian Harman 25/1 With these odds he may be the best bet.

LONGSHOTS

Min Woo Lee 30/1 He is overdue for his first PGA win.

Christiaan Bezuidenhout 50/1 He has been in the mix most of this year, but a real longshot.

Doug Ghim 60/1 Very likable player, he will steal a win sometime this year.

Sam Ryder 80/1 Showed some real ability to win recently but another real longshot

THE SNAKEPIT

#16 MOCCASIN 460 Yard Par 4 One of the hardest holes on the PGA TOUR.  Dogleg right with narrow fairway bordered by water on right and trees on left and an elevated green.

#17 RATTLER 215 yard Par 3 has the largest green on the course.
