#17 November 13 Future of this tournament & other Fall events.

PGA announced their 2024 season on August 7, 2023.  The season would be the first calendar year schedule since 2012.  There will be 36 regular events down from 44 in 2023.  Then there will be the 3 FedX Cup playoff events which will end the regular season.

The Fall season will be similar to this year, so all 7 current events will be back in 2025.  They will finalize the top 125 for the 2025 season.  There will be 9 events up 2 from 2024 and include the Butterfield Bermuda Championship from Nov 14 to 17, 2024.  Other than the Presidents Cup 9/26-9/29 most of the top players will take this period off with the exception of a few events of their choosing.

LIV announced their 2024 season which is available on my blog #3.  There will be 14 events, same as last year.  Six of the events will be in the US and 8 outside the US.

With these plans set, it appears there is little chance that a permanent agreement will be reached this year.  It will be interesting to see if any PIF money will be infused for PGA purses, and there may be a crossover for participation of players in designated events.
