CHEAPSKATE is a noun which Webster’s Dictionary defines as, a miserly or stingy person who tries to avoid paying a fair share of costs.

Matt Kucher won this tournament in 2018, at Mayakoba El Camaleon G.C.  His regular caddie John Woods quit before the tournament and he used a local caddy David “El Tucan” Ortiz who was to be paid $5,000 is said to have told Kucher “$130,000 if you win” the normal caddie rate of 10%.  Kucher only paid him the agreed amount despite winning $1.6M and took a lot of criticism.  It is reported that Kucher eventually came up with an additional $45,000 which satisfied Ortiz, although it was less than half of the normal caddie share.  Kucher has made over $50M on the PGA Tour and is #10 on the all time money list.  Whatever his motives were, it remains to be seen if he fits the above description.
