Marco Simone was completed in 1989 specifically to prepare for the Ryder Cup.  It is described as a course perfect for match play and should make for an exciting tournament.  There will be 50,000 people present for each round.  Hole #16 will be a great hole in close matches to either lay up or go for the green.  It has hosted the Italian Open in 1994 and then in 2021, 2022, and  2023.  I think it will be an annual destination for a new league or revised DP World Tour, one of which which may be a result of the PIF/PGA & DP agreement.

ROUND 2 The pairings for tomorrows morning round have been posted.  I am predicting a USA comeback led by Spieth/Thomas and a 3-1 USA victory making the match competitive. Results and further comments will be posted tomorrow night.
