RESULTS ROCKET MORTGAGE CLASSIC JUNE 29 TO JULY 2, 2023

A severe storm caused damage at Detroit Golf Club on Sunday night.  There is a good chance of showers and thunderstorms during the tournament.  Large trees were uprooted on the course, but there was no significant damage.

ROUND 3 90% of the early finishers early finishers were under par.  Most were between

66&69.  A rain delay occurred about 3:00m PM EST and resumed at 4:30.  It appears that it will take -20 to lead today and maybe -30 (as Tony Finau predicted to win).

#1 Rickie Fowler-20 He birdies 6 of last 8 holes.  “He has to win this one”.

#2 Adam Hadwin-19 no bogies, lowest RD.

#6 Colin Morikawa-16 1 eagle, 3 birdies, no bogies.

ROUND 4  Fowler birdies 3 of first 7 holes, but 3 putts #14 his only 3 putt pop the tournament and misses an 8’putt on #15 for to stay in a 3 way tie.  Morikawa birdies #17 to take lead but misses a long birdie putt on #18 by inches.  On 18 Fowler hits his 3rd shot within 3’ of hole and birdies to tie Hadwin & Morikawa for a 3 man playoff.  Coverage stopped on ESPN+ and instructed viewers to go to CBS APP which I do not have so I was unable to see Rickies victory.  However I as able to see a repeat of Fowler hitting his tee shot into the crowd but He recovers and makes an 11’ birdie putt to win on the 1st playoff hole #18 as Hadwin and Morikawa pared.

#1 Rickie Fowler-24 Birdied #18 on final hole and first playoff hole. $1,584,000
