Last year Scottie Scheffler was the favorite but lost to his best friend Sam Burns in a playoff.
Burns was 7 strokes down, and shot a 65 to Scheffler 72 to forced the playoff.
OPENING ODDS
Scottie Scheffler 4/1 If he can put together 4 good RDs, he wins. Again RD 3 cost him.
Jordan Spieth 14/1 Love the guy but too inconsistent and maybe wrist is bothering him.
Tony Finau 14/1 He has a way of coming up big in these secondary tournaments.
Viktor Hovland 14/1 One of the best young golfers, but has to learn earn how to finish.
LONG SHOTS
Sam Burns 28/1 No golfer has ever won back to back besides Ben Hogan who won in 1946 &1947 and again in 1952 & 1953. There is a 7’ statue of Hogan overlooking the 18th green.
BEST STORY PART 3 Michael Block 300/1 Three DBs on 3 of the last 4 holes, 7 bogies, birdies, 6 pars for-11/ 81 last place by 4 strokes. A decent +4 on his 2nd RD but finishes #115 last place. Maybe he will do better at the Canadian Open.
