McIlroy/Schauffele- 7 birdies each, but McIlroy made his 8th on 18 with a 12’ birdie putt to win. Scheffler & Burns- Good friends. Burns beat him in a P/O last year at Schwab Challenge. Young was rookie of the year last year and has a new experienced caddie.
Highlights RD 6
Burns defeated Scheffler on 3rd PO hole after Scheffler missed 5’ putt to win on 2nd PO hole. Young defeated McIlroy on 1st playoff hole after Mcllroy lost 16 & 18 to loose a 2 stroke lead.
Highlights RD 7
Sam Burns wins 7 of 1st 13 holes, and Young concedes.Rory McIlroy won16 and tied 17 to win consolation match over Scottie Scheffler.
