VALSPAR CHAMPIONSHIP PALM HARBOR FL.  

Valspar Championship started as the Tampa Bay Classic in 2000.  Valspar became the sponsor in 2013.  Field – 144.  Keegan Bradley, my #1 pick, withdrew due to illness.  Spieth won in 2015 when he won 5 tournaments and golfer of the year.                           

ROUND 1 Weather perfect, no wind.

#1 Ryan Brehm-5 Aced 17(600/1), Stephen Jaeger birdied 18(65/1), Adam Schenk birdied 2 of 3 snake pit-5 66.

#4 Spieth-4 52’ putt on 15, Glover(250/1), McNealy(40/1), Fleetwood-4 67.

#97 Coody, Fitzpatrick+3 74.

ROUND 2 Fleetwood made an early run for lead after an eagle on his #1 hole the 10th, but followed with 2 bogies for a 69-5.  Cody Gribble shot best round of the day 65, moves from 55 to T3. 

#1 Schenk-7 69 second day in first place at 130/1.  No wins on PGA Tour.

#2 Hickok-6 68/ 5 birdies 2 bogies. Missed 8 of last 12 cuts, 266 OWGR.

#3 Fleetwood-5 69, Gribble 65, Riley 68, Spieth 70.  

#12 Thomas-3 DB on 16 & 7 others tied-3. 

#46 Sam BurnsE, Justin RoseE & 10 others E.

CUT+1 Coody 70+2, Fitzpatrick 71 & Cink 76 +3, #144 Alex Chiarella+16

ROUND 3 Wind much stronger, but scores about the same.  Webb Simpson eagled the first hole, moved from #12 to #4. Kizzire #7 bounces back from+2 in RD 2, best round 67.  

#1 Adam Schenk-8 70 Birded 16 &18 to take lead from Jordan. 

#2 Spieth-7 69 Eagled on 1st then 5 birdies & 5 bogies, Fleetwood-7 bogie free.

#4 Simpson-6 68, Moore 69, Gribble 70.

#7 Matt Wallace-5 70 & Kizzire 67.

#10 Blair-4 68 & Poston 71 & 2 others.

FINAL ROUND Taylor Moore along with Sam Burns shoot low round of 67.  Moore wins and Burns ties for 5th.  Spieth goes+2 on Snake Pit. Schenk bogies 18 to finish 2nd.  Moore shot 69 & 67 on last 2 rounds, birdies 4 of last 10 holes and steals tournament.  He was 75/1 at start and goes from #7 in 3rd round to #1.
